Position Overview:

The Coca-Cola Freestyle Team is seeking a PLM System Manager to administer and maintain our Windchill/Creo PLM System. This position will be responsible for ensuring that the overall PLM environment for Coca-Cola Freestyle is operating reliably and efficiently for the Freestyle business.

The scope of this role will be accountable for the full range of Windchill system operations, from system compliance with Global IT standards and processes of The Coca-Cola Company, Maintenance and Upgrades to our Windchill and Creo licenses, and day to day Operations and User Support of Windchill. In addition, this position will have direct managerial responsibilities for a small group of permanent and contract Windchill and Creo Design individuals to ensure delivery of objectives of the Freestyle Engineering team.

Function Specific Activities:

Job Requirements

  • Fully integrate and maintain Windchill PLM System configuration within Coca-Cola IT standard processes for Backup, Disaster Recovery, Application Integration, and other IT support functions
  • Develop overall Windchill Systems strategy for Operating Support, Expansion Planning, Training and Adoption
  • Develop sustainable and proactive Issue Management system for persistent, systematic & chronic issues. Control them, fix them, and stop them from causing performance and availability issues
  • Develop operating up-time support process, including: possible rotations for support of system maintenance, upgrades, backups, and daily Health Checks (making sure Windchill is ready to go before business starts each day)
  • Develop business cases for Windchill expansion opportunities such as Workgroup Manager, Procurement and Supplier Modules, Enhanced Reporting, Data Migration to/from external systems, etc. Lead Implementation execution of approved expansion opportunities
  • Develop key performance metrics and reporting capabilities, implement those metrics, and set Continuous Improvement agenda for all Windchill and CAD related performance drivers.
  • Develop robust test processes, scripts, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure that any upgrades, expansions, or backups do no harm to the Windchill environment or uptime performance
  • Manage capital and expense budgets against financial planning cycles to ensure continuous operation of existing and expanding capabilities, per business requirements
  • Manage several individual contributors (mix of permanent and contract) to ensure Windchill Systems team is able to deliver on business objectives.
  • Develop overall CADD Design Standards and Guidelines. Ensure these Standards are adopted, controlled, published, and implemented.  Establish Training, Quality Check, and Metric processes to ensure that Standards are being used and are effective.
  • Train and Guide non-Coca-Cola Freestyle Windchill or PLM resources as needed to ensure they are capable of accessing and/or providing high quality work that meets our standards. Work with Procurement function to establish appropriate contract language to ensure that third-party providers are committed to delivering high quality design work.

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining a Windchill PLM System within a complex and changing Global IT environment
  • Proven experience dealing with server migrations, Cloud based servers, and security based applications that allow our users to access the PLM applications operating on those servers
  • Experienced in the Installation and Administration of Windchill, Creo and web servers
  • Solid knowledge of systems and application monitoring solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in effective Windchill and IT systems problem solving skills
  • Experienced with license management, upgrades, heavy vs light licenses, etc
  • Experience in instance management and rehosting
  • Familiarity with Creo 2.0 or higher within an integrated Windchill environment. Ability to leverage CAD skills of others (associates or PTC Corp personnel) to ensure Creo operates with high reliability and accessibility to the Coca-Cola Freestyle expanded team.

  • Working with Product Lifecycle Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning integrations
  • Knowledge of supporting applications in a cloud based system a plus


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.  Master's Degree is a plus.


  • 10+ years relevant experience is preferred
