Position Overview:

The Director of National Sales will be responsible for profitably growing VEB brands through effective collaboration with the Coca-Cola NRS West Team. This position will be aligned to all Coca-Cola NRS Key Account Managers that call on Supers and Mass on the West. The portfolio currently includes Honest Tea, ZICO, Tum-E-Yummies and Hubert's Lemonade and can change at any time as new brands are acquired and successful brands graduate.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership abilities with influencing/communication skills that develop credibility. Must be analytical and have the ability to analyze data and see what is possible in the near and long term for both the customer and the system to create value for both sides.

Function Specific Activities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with both the Coca-Cola NRS West Key Account Team & the customer directly in order to drive growth for CCNA and our bottlers.
  • Responsible for working with the NRS West Key Account team on ensuring our customers are aware of the innovation work Coca-Cola is doing.
  • Influences the West NRS Key Account Team to ensure VEB brands are planogrammed and get their fair share of both pricing, ad, display and marketing activity in order to drive growth for CCNA.
  • Responsible for achieving profit growth across all brands in the portfolio

Additional Skills

  • Understanding of how to build smaller brands in a large system
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Analyze Data and Develop Point of View:  Must be able to analyze Nielsen & proprietary customer data and clearly explain performance to inspire action within customer and KO system. 
  • Advancing the Customer Relationship: Ability to facilitate and accelerate the business relationship based upon an understanding of the customer. Includes the ability to actively listen and engage in conversation with customers to uncover relevant information, resources and solutions.
  • Problem solving


  • Minimum Required:  Bachelor's Degree 

Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum Required:  7 years of successful account management in the Coca-Cola system
  • Preferred:  Entrepreneurial and seasoned sales executive with heavy experience with the bottling system, the West Key Accounts and the inner workings of the Coca-Cola NRS internal teams.
