Job Description Summary

Transport raw materials to storage locations and responsible for inventory accuracy of stored materials. Perform required cleaning duties to meet GMP standards. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service, and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under TCCC Quality System.

Function Specific Activities:

Minimum Job Requirements:   

  • Possess a valid TCCC forklift operator license or be certified before driving a lift truck. 
  • Able to move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to work eight-hour shifts, twelve-hour shifts or other work schedules as determined by business need, including overtime and weekends as required. 
  • Must be certified on the training plan for this position within ninety working days of start date.

Essential Duties:

  • Move raw materials and packaging, and deliver them to pre-assigned locations and support production.
  • Determine quantities of materials to be staged and when, then transfer material physically and in computer system.  Monitor during shift.
  • Record product movements accurately by material number, lot/batch code, and location.
  • Complete administrative paperwork accurately and in accordance with TCCC documentation and recordkeeping policies.
  • Handle returns from Production physically and in SAP.
  • Perform physical inventories.
  • Maintain documentation for operation of forklift.
  • Maintain a clean work area and comply with GMP standards.
  • Support TCCC Safety Initiatives and Policies.
  • Verifying raw materials are in compliance with TCCC specifications.
  • Entering transfers in SAP.  Communicating with production, Q.A., and warehouse to ensure effective material flow.

Working Conditions:  

  • Work involves exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, wetness, heights, dust, moving equipment, vibrations and vapors.


Equipment Used:

  • Hand tools, hoses, thermometers and forklifts. 
  • Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection.

Non-essential Functions:

  • Travel to other locations. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Explain and demonstrate job tasks to visitors.

Job Requirements:

Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of raw materials from receipt to production put-away.
Conduct monthly cycle counts for raw materials and participate in annual wall-to-wall inventory.
Operate industrial vehicles and equipment.
Transport raw materials, full goods and/or finished goods to designated areas.
Ability to operate a sit down and stand up forklift.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Keep work area clean at all times.
Understand and implement FEFO and/ FIFO.
Previous experience with SAP or other ERP system.
