Job Description Summary:

The Senior Director, Global Tools & Protocols is responsible for the advancement of new research methodologies, best practices and tools in the research & insights space across The Coca-Cola Company. This key role will focus on the methodological design, testing and roll-out / escalation of new research and analysis tools via the use of the latest research technologies and theories to give TCCC a competitive edge in the way we capture, interpret and activate consumer, customer and market insights. An important component of the role is a strong understanding and experience working with the latest survey design methodologies and research tools. Experience with existing and emerging technology and capabilities in the areas of mobile and tablet research will be important for this role. Expertise utilizing behavioral science research, System 1 and unconscious/subconscious research techniques is highly desirable.
While other senior positions within the research & insights team will be active contributors to research improvement via learnings during their day to day executional responsibilities, the Senior Director, Tools & Protocols will be directly focused on the management and modernization of key research tools and protocols for the benefit of the overall global R&I community and their very diverse group of international stakeholders.

• Core Research Development and management: This position and team are responsible for the quality control, stewardship, and modernization of current research tools and for the coordination of multi-country research design and roll-out of large country tracking studies.

• Vendor management and quality control / productivity: This role will also manage the relationship with the main vendors in charge of each major core research protocols. Scope of this responsibilities include contract negotiation (MSA, SLAS and pricing / compensation scales), quality control. This function will have as a key partner the Finance and Procurement area.

•Foundational Analytics and data feeds for Marketing Science and Strategy: Specific dedication to manage the R&I function custom analysis request process including briefing and agency selection, management of analysis framework development and ensuring actionable insight delivery and communication. Management of analysis template generation for replication by BUs and short term data request processing in accurate and timely manner. Specific management of workflow through contractor agency base and Quality Control data assurance.

• This role is also the main point of interaction with R&I advanced analytics and with strategy and planning playing a key supplier role of KPI information and basic analytics to feed advanced analysis models like MVA and diverse scorecards for business reviews and OpCo purposes. Equally important this role will ideate and develop foundational analytics covering brand equity and category, corporate reputation dynamics to inform key decisions and process along with Corporate Strategy.

• Capability Building: This area priorities also include a requirement to create communications and capability building processes that ensure rapid adoption and collective learning across the R&I community and Business Units.

Education: Bachelors degree required


At least 15+ years of increasing leadership responsibility in the research & insights or analytics area.

Experience in managing geographically and culturally diverse teams and influencing organizations / functions with high degrees of freedom / discretion in terms of budgets, policies and priorities.
