Position Overview:

Coca-Cola's Global Decision Science & Analytics team is seeking a self-starter, insights & analytics expert with business acumen and problem-solving mindset. The person will work with key internal stakeholders around the world to identify high impact business questions and decisions aligned to business process, prioritize critical business decisions and apply a behavioral science approach, and leverage Analytics to provide default answers that enable rapid future-focused decision making, and help us drive business growth.

Currently, many of our business decisions are informed by various survey-based tools, which are not connected to each other and don't reflect the holistic picture that is required to drive high impact business decisions. We acknowledge that to do so, we need to build a new automated Holistic People Understanding platform. This person will shape the development and delivery of the platform by fusing behavioral, social, passive, telemetry, and deep human insights data coming from surveys, and by leveraging technologies, and automation to provide holistic and predictive understanding.

Reporting to the Global lead for Core Analytics Tools and Protocols, this individual will be a key contributor to the evolution of this area including brand tracking, consumption drivers & barriers, consumer beverage landscape, corporate reputation and links to media and communications (Integrated Marketing Communication). This individual will work with our Director of Behavioral Science to contribute to the ongoing innovation and enhancement of how we understand consumer attitudes and perceptions and how they drive consumer choice, and connect these to other sources of information for holistic people insights.

The candidate should have an experience of delivering breakthrough results in a large global company and a mix of research and analytics expertise, project management skills, and an enthusiasm for enabling Coca-Cola to win with our consumers & shoppers! Ideally, he/she would have knowledge of the Coca-Cola system.

Function Specific Activities:

Key Duties/Responsibilities: ?

  • Able to define and prioritize the critical business decisions. Provide default answers/insights based on analytical platform that enable rapid future-focused decision making.
  • Responsible for development of “Holistic People Understanding platform” and its future evolutions including ensuring globally aligned and harmonized data, metrics and insights. - 
  • Fosters trust and gets colleagues from global and local teams to collaborate without having direct authority, creating mutual accountability within team settings in order to achieve results. -
  • Develops and communicates strategies, tactics, timelines, and KPIs to reach project goals. -
  • Continuously assesses the industry supplier, tool, and analytical application base, seeks out the needs of the business, and plays an active role in keeping KO and our tools up to date.
  • Participates with the Director Strategic Vendor Management in the commercial negotiation with research and analytics companies and project management of research protocol.
  • Understands the implications of evolving our approach and its impact on up and down stream services including Executive Performance Reporting

COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES: 

  • Influence the most senior levels of our organization to change the way in which they think about and use data in the way they make decisions.
  • Communication with other Corporate functions and with all relevant functions at Business Unit level. Help to redefine the relationship with our bottling partners to ensure that information is shared - and not duplicated. Leverage this relationship to progress the use of data based decisions.
  • Work in close partnership with legal and procurement to put in place the best solution to drive productivity. Develop a win-win solution with our strategic vendor partners to produce a best in class ecosystem that facilitates our ambitions around data and analytics driven decision making.

  • Expected to find best practices by identifying new opportunities in research and analytics approaches including technology and psychology applications, information gathering, usage and strategic thinking.
  • Impact and change the way that decisions are made internally, ensuring that data and analytics are used to make decisions and fully embedded in the business process - across the entire system.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Solid business orientation and ability to understand the business decisions that need to be made and to execute them effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consistently outstanding results through a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and owner mentality.
  • Deep understanding of research and analytical techniques including econometrics, and multiple regression
  • Understanding of new developments in research & analytics across multiple industry sectors and domains
  • Strong ability to look beyond data, and drive growth potential by connecting the dots and painting a holistic picture of our consumers and shoppers.
  • Strong communicator with all levels of the organization, including the ability to argue and defend and the implications of it to Management and Senior Executives.
  • Proven ability to use formal and informal networks and organizational culture to get things done
  • Creative thinker and strategic problem-solving skills
  • At least 12 years of experience in Marketing Analytics, Research or Consulting
  • University/Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate/Master's Degree (preferred)
