Function Specific Activities:

Count and record finished goods and raw material inventory in compliance with external and internal standards, policies, and procedures. Completes all batch certifications and adjustments daily. Assist and provide support to Warehouse Management in the planning, tracking, distribution, and storage of data on all materials movements. Provide substitute coverage for the Appointment Scheduler.

Function Related Activities / Key responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory accuracy for all materials using established cycle count procedures, batch certifications, and inventory adjustments using he business control systems.
  • Operate forklift, battery changing equipment, and related dock equipment as required or directed.
  • Utilize PC MS Office tools including e-mail in communicating and report generation.
  • Accurately receive materials using plant operating systems.
  • Record and file all cycle count and materials transactions.
  • Review daily materials summaries for each department.
  • Prepare cycle counts and inventory accuracy reports.
  • Assist other departments with information needs.
  • Perform special assignments as requested by management.
  • Perform physical inventories as required.
  • Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor.
  • Adheres to Food Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) in the execution of duties. Ensures the area is maintained in a safe and orderly fashion.
  • Complete accurate logs and documentation of activities during shift.
  • Read and understand standard operating procedures.
  • Able to participate in team assignments.
  • Able to identify deficiencies within area of responsibility and take or recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Able to set up and changeover labeling equipment by yourself to different bottle sizes in a timely manner.
  • Able to explain and demonstrate job tasks to all internal and external visitors.
  • Ensure that all security procedures are followed.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires at least 2 years direct related experience in Inventory Control with a business operating system such as SAP or CIMPRO.
  • Must have a current fork lift license and at least 6 months forklift experience.
  • Requires at least one year's direct operating experience of material handing equipment (various types of material movement/lift trucks to include floor scrubbers).
  • Ability to trouble-shoot warehouse-related inventory problems.
  • Must be neat and have the ability to organize and maintain accurate filing systems.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Meet all basic plant employment criteria, to include a good attendance record.
  • Must be certified on the training plan for this position within 60 working days of start date.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, etc. and ability to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Manual finger dexterity
  • Ability to visually identify defective parts.
  • Ability to work 8-hour or 12-hour shift or required necessary hours to meet the business requirements. This may include overtime and weekend work as necessary
  • Must be able to us a computer and associated software programs.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service and Cost objectives
  • Ability to read equipment operations manuals.
  • Ability to visually identify and recognize material and product and defects
  • Ability to participate in job development training (i.e. trouble-shooting, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

JOB LOCATION AND WORK CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed in high-speed bottling and production environment. 
  • Work requires exposure to all temperature changes, high noise levels, working around moving equipment, tanks, heights, wet conditions, fumes, vibrations, dust, etc. 
  • Working hours must be flexible with the ability to work all shifts and extended hours as required.

EQUIPMENT

  • Personnel protective equipment. MSDS sheets. 
  • Hoist, hand cart, hand tools, measuring instruments, equipment operations manuals. 
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection. 
  • Forklift.
