Position Overview:

The Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Managers help create a culture of compliance by establishing standards and procedures to prevent, reduce, and detect illegal, unethical and improper conduct. They are also responsible for ensuring these standards are communicated and institutionalized, and for monitoring compliance with the Code of Business Conduct (COBC) as well as numerous laws, statutes and regulations. They are aligned across a broad geographic area (North America, Pacific, Europe, and Eurasia/Africa) and coordinate with the Local Ethics Officers (LEOs) in their area of responsibility.

Function Specific Activities:


  • Support the E&C processes for intake, monitor, evaluate and report Code and Hotline activity for the KO Systems operations within a specified geographic area.
  • In collaboration with other Ethics & Compliance personnel and the business, identify key risk areas needing customize training to raise awareness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with management colleagues across their geography.
  • Support the Local Ethics Officers (LEO) within the assigned geographic areas by providing training, consulting on specific cases, assisting with approvals.
  • This is accomplished by planning, implementing and conducting ethics and compliance training, supporting new compliance program and policy initiatives, control processes and internal ethics and compliance marketing communications.
  • Handle requests for reconsideration / appeals as necessary.


  • Conduct analysis and have deep subject matter knowledge of COBC activities, prepare reports and communications which are shared with senior level management.
  • Influence business leaders to prioritize and provide time for associates to participate in compliance training initiatives.
  • Work virtually with LEOs to build their capabilities.


  • Although the COBC policy is defined, the complexities of our business and wide scope of geographies covered adds complexity to handling these highly sensitive matters.
  • Frequently, there is no precedent for how to manage a compliance issue.
  • The E& C Manager must have a thorough understanding of our business and enabling functions to determine the best course of action to drive to resolution of all matters.
  • The E&C Manager uses independent professional judgment to determine if a case should be handled by HR, Employee Relations, COBC team, Legal, International Trade Group, etc.


  • Provides advice to LEOs on ethics matters.
  • Determine subject areas and business locations requiring training.


  • When new laws are put in place, the E&C Managers need to support the necessary programs to be in compliance.


  • Minimum 3-5 years of related professional work experience (ethics and compliance program) and 7+ years overall
  • University/Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification, a plus
  • Comfort with and proven track record of learning new systems, reports, and excel
  • Demonstrated project management experience
