Position Overview:

The Licensing Manager position based in the Coca-Cola Brazil office in Rio will provide regional support to the Global Licensing Manager for Latin America. Specifically, this position will help implement the business strategy for this region and facilitate Business Unit integration. Additionally, this role will help support our big bets; coordinate our Regional Summit; maintain relationships with “A” partners, our licensing agencies and the industry.

Function Specific Activities:

The Licensing Manager position based in the Coca-Cola Brazil office in Rio will provide regional support to the Global Licensing Manager for Latin America.  Specifically, this position will help implement the business strategy for this region and facilitate Business Unit integration.   Additionally, this role will help support our big bets; coordinate our Regional Summit; maintain relationships with “A” partners, our licensing agencies and the industry. 

Business Unit Integration

  • Work with Brazil BU Marketing Team to identify and execute “Big Bets” where Licensing and Beverage can help support and amplify each other's programs.  Plan to execute one or two “Big Bets” per year.
  • Stay connected with South Latin Business Unit Brand/Marketing teams and keep them informed of our progress in their regions.  Look for ways to collaborate where relevant. 

Agency Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate regular Business Review meetings with agencies. Manage Status report updates from agencies and capture deliverables.
  • Collect and review Deal Sheets bi-monthly, ensuring ‘Due Diligence' process is complete and checking commercial information/references.
  • Follow up with Agencies on tracking licensees' contract completion and product development timeline.
  • Coordinate with agencies to ensure contact lists and Licensees lists are maintained and updated on a monthly basis.
  • Request and manage distribution of Licensees Product Catalogue from agencies.

Project Management

  • Lead the execution of special projects, such as regional summits, quarterly newsletters, and major presentations.
  • Report cases of counterfeit merchandise to Legal team and manage General Custom inquiries. 

Develop & leverage relationships with key internal / external contacts

  • Internally: Worldwide Licensing Team based in Atlanta, London and Tokyo, Local Brand, IMC & Customer Teams, Bottlers and Legal Teams.
  • Externally: Licensing Agencies, Partners (with focus on “A” Partners - Sugar Shoes, Neorubber and AMC Textil) and Industry Associations.

Work with Regional Manager to help develop and implement Business Strategy

  • Work with Global Licensing Manager (LatAm) to determine business strategy and help implement.  Assist with country prioritization.
  • Responsible for helping deliver annual business plan and revenue targets.
  • Work with agencies to help identify and prioritize category gaps.
  • Identify key dates with agencies/licensees and establish Regional Licensing Calendar.
  • Attend key tradeshows with agency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 relevant years of experience
  • Bachelors degree is required
