The Senior Transition Manager position is a key resource in the transition, development and integration of emerging brands within the Coca Cola North America (CCNA) business unit.  This role works with internal and external supply chain organizations to successfully execute cross-functional integration initiatives utilizing the Common Innovation Framework methodology, along with OE (Operational Excellence) principles and practices to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integration initiatives and programs across the VEB Business Unit.
  • Secure and manage cross-functional resources
  • Develop and execute project plans and timelines
  • Provide verbal and/or written project updates to various stakeholders
  • Develop and track project plans with timelines, forecasts, resource allocation plans and financial impacts to convey the scope of the plan to Leadership.
  • Execute project close-outs and post project reviews
  • Identify key drivers of service to create solutions to decrease costs, increase quality and deliver additional improvements to the P&L.
  • Develop and implement decision support tools to effectively support Supply Chain network operations.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best practices to secure benefits for the KO system, suppliers and/or the customer (e.g., cost savings, new technologies and innovations, operating efficiencies).
  • Implement process improvement initiatives (e.g., supplier or customer business processes and practices) to benefit CCNA system and suppliers or customers by directing supply chain activities, involving external suppliers, functional peers, account teams and/or cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in the identification, development, and implementation of process improvements for commercialization and CIF Program Management processes and tools.
  • Provide expert facilitation of team meetings leveraging our collaborative technologies

Education Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree Required, Preferred Master's Degree

Related Work Experience:  At least 5 to 7 years of work experience in Supply Chain Optimization, Project Management or relevant related field.

Customer Service / Distribution: Knowledge of distributor/distribution policies and procedures.  Ability to understand costs/benefits of distributors and common carriers, third party capabilities, and distribution structures to support customer order processes, and product availability

Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels using statistical models to design min/max/reorder levels. Knowledge of asset management procedures, policies and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates (e.g., balance inventory levels against inventory carrying costs).

Process Management - Process Benchmarking and Mapping: Knowledge of and the ability to apply skills in benchmarking and process mapping techniques across a supply chain (includes internal and/or third party entities)

Supply Chain: Knowledge of elements that make up the supply chain and the interrelationship between these elements. Ability to manage and execute strategies across the supply chain to reduce costs and gain efficiencies in the completion of a quality finished good. Ability to analyze, balance, synchronizes and synergizes all internal and external resources and assets to ensure the progress and ultimate completion of a finished good.

Business Activity Processes: Ability to establish and define processes, and continuously monitor and improve processes to facilitate the execution of business activities.

Process Improvement: Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Ability to analyze business processes and develop system based solutions that will improve current state

Program Management: Knowledge of program management techniques and practices to drive execution of multifaceted integration projects. Intermediate to advanced expertise in MS Project.

Functional Skills:  

  • Contingency Planning: Knowledge of information used to establish contingency plans for supply chain processes (e.g., cost, risk level, manufacturing and third-party capabilities). Ability to develop contingency plans that meet performance requirements
  • Relationship Management (Suppliers, Contractors, Bottlers, Partners): Knowledge of third party supplier/contractor corporate cultures and core competencies. Ability to influence third party supplier/contractor relationship to benefit KO. Knowledge of Bottler/Partner culture and business priorities. Ability to influence Bottler/Partner relationship with KO.
  • Customer Focus: Making customers (external and internal) and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships; creating and executing plans and solutions in collaboration with the customer.
  • Determining Financial Impact: Understanding the financial consequences of decisions; understanding economic value for the system; acting as an owner of the business and making decisions that ensure long-term value
  • Total System Cost: Knowledge of assigning costs to activities in order to evaluate supply chain cost improvement opportunities. Knowledge of total cost (e.g., shipping, warehousing, inventory levels) in addition to invoice cost.
