Function Specific Activities:

The primary goal of the Senior Manager, Governance & Planning is to ensure efficient and effective implementation of Franchise Governance in North America.  The role must work cross-functionally with other groups including US Coca-Cola Bottlers, Coca Cola North America (CCNA) Senior Leadership, CCNA National Retail Sales (NRS), RGM & Finance teams to ensure execution of our Governance policies and procedures.  This role serves as a coordination point for communication with all constituents concerning the topic of Governance.

Role will be responsible for working cross functionally across the Franchise Governance & Contract team to focus on the following areas:

  • Customer Governance - participation on selected CCT calls and Region Hub meetings
  • System Leadership Governance Board (SLGB) - preparation for and participation in meetings (~6x per year)
  • Contract Administration Support - following up on open contractual issues
  • Training Material Development - training modules for all key areas of Franchise Governance & Contracts (Governance overall, Customer Governance, ARTM, Transshipping & Contract)
  • ARTM program execution support

Successful candidates in this role will require prior customer and/or bottler/wholesaler management experience, strong communication and collaboration skills and working knowledge of training/business process documentation.


Governance Subject Matter Expert for Selected Customer Governance Routines

  • Ensure that Customer Governance processes are followed
  • Work with all Customer Governance participants to train personnel on how to administer Customer Governance
  • Ensure timely documentation of Customer Governance voting results to appropriate parties
  • Involvement in situations where Customer Governance rules were not appropriately executed and course correct related issues

SLGB Support

  • Assist in preparation of SLGB Agendas
  • Coordinate communication with SLGB presenters and collection of materials in advance of meeting
  • SLGB Meeting notes
  • Track Action Items

Contract Administration Support

  • Tracking pending contract responses
  • Problem solving administrative details

Training Material Development

  • Establish and maintain materials related to all Franchise Governance & Contract processes (Operations Manuals, Governance Charters, Business Process Documentation)
  • Ensure training materials are developed for each function within Franchise Governance & Contracts

ARTM Program Execution

  • Work with ARTM team to execute changes to Annual ARTM Agreements (Product Lifecycle Management in 2019)
  • Develop templates to support Governance routines committed in ARTM Agreements

 Must have working knowledge and advanced capability in key software programs including PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Visio.





Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Level: MBA


Minimum Required: 5 years

  • Customer, Bottler or Wholesaler management experience
  • US Bottling Knowledge or Experience

Preferred Level: 10 years

  • Customer, Bottler or Wholesaler management experience
  • US Bottling Knowledge or Experience

Specialized Technical Skills

Minimum Required: Knowledge of CCNA & Bottler selling and distribution systems.  Experience working with software systems to manage work activity.

Preferred Level: Sales & Operations Planning, KO products, Customer/RGM Planning, Supply Planning, and Program Management.  TQM knowledge and/or certification (Six Sigma, Lean, Deming Management, etc.)
