Function Specific Activities:

Function Related Activities / Key Responsibilities

  • Select, supervise, and develop Quality Assurance personnel responsible for plantwide operations.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency of all quality aspects of production and micro testing in production facility
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, stated, regulatory and Company policies and procedures
  • Develop and analyze budget and planned forecast, reporting routinely as necessary and identifying cost savings opportunities
  • Monitor all Company, Federal and State communications/audits and implement any necessary changes
  • Develop strategies for implementing The Coca-Cola Management System in order to ensure product quality and food safety as defined by Company requirements.
  • Develop process improvement initiatives (e.g., supplier business processes and practices) in order to benefit the KO system and suppliers by directing supply chain activities,
  • involving external suppliers, functional peers, account teams and/or cross-functional teams.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of any facility safety or security incident or environmental regulation non-compliance in order to prevent reoccurrence of similar incident at same or other facilities.
  • Inspect facility (e.g., production, warehouse, service/installation) to assure adherence to safety and operating policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) using Company policies and procedures.
  • Develop analytical tools and reports (e.g., staffing models, rate models, procurement models, inventory models, stewardship models) in order to manage supply chain performance.
  • Monitor feedback mechanisms for business issues (e.g., metrics are met, problems are addressed, modifications and/or improvements are captured and integrated) in order to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Assist operations management with process equipment and product/package troubleshooting and innovation
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and partners in order to improve Coca-Cola quality indices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree -Microbiology or Food Science preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years production/manufacturing experience, preferably in the food and/or beverage industry. 
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • ISO (22000, 9000, 14001, etc.) or other management system preferred
  • HACCP Coordinator Certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of food processing equipment and CIP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams showing improvement in plant KPIs.
  • Requires experience managing people/budgets.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of manufacturing management.
  • Working knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies and interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment

JOB LOCATION AND WORK CONDITIONS

  • Work is performed in high-speed bottling, manufacturing, and warehouse environment. 
  • Work requires exposure to all temperature changes, high noise levels, working around moving equipment, tanks, heights, wet conditions, fumes, vibrations, dust, etc. 
  • Working hours must be flexible with the ability to work all shifts and extended hours as required.

EQUIPMENT:  

  • Personal protective equipment to include but not limited to steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection and uniform requirements. 
  • Hoist, hand cart, hand tools, measuring instruments, equipment operations manuals.  Cleaning equipment and chemicals
