You will be responsible for helping develop, implement and monitor Coca-Cola South Pacific's sustainability programs and partnerships. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relations with community experts, communicating plans and delivering to budgets. You will also support the programs we deliver through the Coca-Cola Foundation and Coca-Cola Australia Foundation.

In Australia some of our successes and actions include:
• In 2016, we met our water leadership goal, to return to nature the same amount of water we use to make our beverages, four years ahead of schedule. We work closely with farmers along coastal Queensland to achieve this goal.
• We are striving for a world without waste by committing to make all our consumer packaging 100% recyclable globally by 2025, by helping to collect and recycle a bottle or can for every one we sell by 2030, and by bringing people together through programs like beach and river cleanups.
• Each year, the Coca-Cola Australia Foundation cares for our communities by awarding more than 20 grants to the local charities connected to our employees determined to make a difference.
• We have made a global commitment to empower 5 million women by 2020 through the 5by20 initiative. Locally, we do this through an online mentoring program, connecting young girls with the successful women they aspire to be like.

Function Specific Activities:

Core competencies for the role:

  • Experience in delivering sustainability programs or partnerships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Judgment, integrity and presence.

Function specific activities and technical skills required:

  • Delivery of programs and partnerships: understanding of the policy landscape across sustainability (e.g. wellbeing, community and environment); ability to build and maintain strong relations with stakeholders; understanding of community organizations, key decision makers and opinion leaders; ability to identify potential areas for further collaboration and innovation.
  • Communications expertise: knowledge of procedures and information required for stakeholder relations planning and execution; ability to create appropriate materials for all audiences relevant to delivering on our commitments.
  • Project management: ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed success criteria); ability to support the development of project plans, ensure appropriate resource allocation, identification of issues and development of contingency plans;
  • Event coordination: the ability to coordinate the logistics necessary to plan for and execute the tasks needed for a successful visit, meeting or event; ability to ensure information is conveyed effectively through a blend of briefings, meetings, special events or other public forums as appropriate.


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least 10 years' experience in public affairs.
