Position Overview:

GLOBAL LICENSING AND RETAIL
The Global Licensing and Retail team is responsible for almost all non-beverage trademarked products sold to consumers. Its channels of distribution span owned and licensed stores (both physical and ecommerce) as well as wholesale distribution. The global licensing business operates through a large network of licensees, agencies and manufacturers. We have reached presence in more than 150 countries, and cover dozens of product categories. The primary revenue driver is fashion and accessories. The owned retail footprint is currently limited to 5 company owned, consumer-facing stores. In addition, there are approximately 20 licensed stores managed by the team as well as a variety of other formats managed by our bottlers or other partners.

There are 4 stores managed by corporate. Details about existing stores are as follows:

The Coca-Cola Store located at the headquarters in Atlanta opened in 1986 and was the Company's first retail endeavor. The store continues to serve Employees and visitors and has also expanded to support the merchandise needs for Company departments, events, activations, and partnerships.

Coca-Cola Store Las Vegas is a 12,000 square-foot retail store located on Las Vegas Boulevard (a.k.a. “The Strip”). Coca-Cola Store Las Vegas originally opened its doors in March 1997 in conjunction with a visitor attraction named “World of Coca-Cola Las Vegas.” The Company decided to close the visitor attraction in March 2000; however, the retail store remains open today, drawing over two million shoppers annually.

Coca Cola Store Orlando opened July 2, 2016 at Disney Springs. Just as Disney Springs is a one-of-a-kind Disney experience delivering great dining, shopping and entertainment, Coca Cola Store Orlando is uniquely designed to showcase Coca Cola branded merchandise, a refreshing rooftop beverage bar and entertaining experiences that inspire the senses.

There is also the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta, whose doors first opened August 02, 1990 and was relocated from Underground Atlanta to Pemberton Place May 24, 2007. Currently, the World of Coca-Cola is the main brand experience attraction for our Company. It attracts 1.2M visitors per year and has become one of the key tourist attractions in the region.

The Opportunity
Global Licensing and Retail is looking for an experienced merchants to lead its Coca-Cola Store - Orlando. This individual will be responsible for leading in a dynamic, high traffic tourist environment. As Associate Store Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating a highly engaged workforce to deliver exceptional guest experiences and memorable moments for every shopper!

Position Overview:
To direct all activities required to achieve all business goals, including retail sales objectives, guest service, payroll, guest recovery, inventory management and merchandise presentation.

Function Specific Activities:

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Drive all aspects of store level sales and profitability.
  • Assist in recruiting, selecting and training a team of qualified, dedicated and professional store associates based on established core competencies.
  • In partnership with the Store Manager, lead and inspire store team through effective coaching and development support needed to create a high performance sales team.
  • Maintain all standards of store operations including visual presentation, security, inventory control, human resources, operational policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing the execution and adherence to all corporate programs.
  • While Manager in Duty (MOD), responsible for all aspects of store operations including: staffing, selling skills, merchandising, stock management, safety and security, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all Company prescribed standards are met and adhered to by all employees.
  • While MOD, regularly review daily, key performance metrics with staff in order to drive profitability and service in the store.
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures in accordance with Company policies.
  • Perform sales transactions (ringing purchases, processing of cash or credit payments, counting money) occasionally.
  • Protect the security of cash, inventory, and other company assets according to policies and procedures.

Required Functional Skills:

  • Execute and Lead Guest Service Strategy: Train hourly associates on the guest service expectations and standards of R&A.  Conduct regular guest service observations and provide coaching and feedback for improvement. Facilitate Retail Associate training such as New Hire Orientation, Retail sales and service, and other skill building courses.
  • Merchandising Standards and Supervision: Partner with the Store Manager on the implementation of visual merchandising directives and maintaining established standards consistent with company brand strategies; communicates with Store Manager regarding merchandising assortment, trends, and needs; ensures merchandise on selling floor is replenished appropriately.
  • Staff Management: Coach and develop staff to exceed individuals' and business goals; Develops staff to provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and providing information on the Company and merchandise; Supervises floor coverage and activities, including opening and closing attraction or store as scheduled. Deliver praise/on the job coaching/constructive feedback for Ambassador and Lead Ambassador teams.
  • Labor Management: Ensure hourly/daily/weekly labor plans are met by cross utilizing employees to cover call outs.  Partner with MRO or Store Manager to respond to hourly guest count by extending coverage in case of soft closure or reduction in coverage in response to low guest traffic.
  • Inspirational Leadership: Consistently hold self and others accountable to demonstrating and role modeling principles and behaviors of the Company to drive employee engagement and create a culture that makes R&A a desirable place to work every day.
  • Replenishment and Stock Control: Able to direct replenishing the sales floor with product. Deliver data accuracy and integrity to achieve annual shrink goals for the location.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, members of management and ambassadors.  This includes the ability to understand, be diplomatic and tactful, demonstrate appropriate behavior social situations and maintain composure in negative circumstances in order to achieve results.
  • Retail Sales Knowledge: Knowledge of and ability to apply retail selling skills.
  • Payroll Accuracy: Ensure that associates' hours and paid-time off are recorded accurately and promptly to ensure proper payment.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods, 2 - 4 hours
  • Able to climb ladders and step ladders
  • Able to key on computer for extended periods, 4 - 6 hours
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 lbs. objects frequently; this includes lifting from one level to another level
  • Frequent bending and kneeling
  • Able to climb sets of stairs

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 years retail experience in a fast paced environment
  • Minimum of 2 years people management experience in the retail industry
