Position Overview:

We are seeking a strong Business Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Analytics CoE focused on delivering analytics capabilities and bringing data to life through enhanced data visualization and reporting capabilities. This role will work with key business stakeholders and IT to define, collect, clarify and translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation and data models from which analytical applications and solutions are designed and developed. The Business Analyst is an active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle and will be required to work closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are met. This position will also translate business inputs and utilize best practice design techniques to deliver data visualizations and reporting on a variety of leading edge tool sets. An ideal candidate for this role must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

Function Specific Activities:

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with business stakeholders, analyzing the information and prioritizing the requirements to gain understanding of the business needs
  • Lead and manage BI&A projects as required
  • Create and build data visualizations and reports based on underlying data models to support business requirements - gain understanding of how the business truly operates and leverages information to drive insights through information
  • Develop testing, implementation, data conversion or BI&A application support strategies in conjunction with technical, architecture, and data teams

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Related Work Experience/Skills:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience
  • 4+ years of developing and managing functional and non-functional requirements, test cases and test scripts in the BI and Analytics domain in a corporate IT environment
  • 2+ years of experience building data visualizations and end user reporting utilizing tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Ability to gather business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with the business, analyzing the information and prioritizing the requirements to gain understanding of the business needs
  • Experience creating and refining conceptual alternatives, technology design and blueprint to address business needs
  • Experience planning and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and training with business users
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using requirement management tools such as JIRA
  • Experience in Agile\DevOps project methodology
  • Understands how to design for reuse, scalability, and for global versus local requirements
  • Business Partner Knowledge: Knowledge of business partners (such as customer, bottler, service agent, supplier) in their context: industry trends and competitive pressures, strategies and plans, organizational structure, decision-making process, contacts, technology infrastructure and systems.
  • Data and Information Standards Integration: Knowledge of and ability to apply TCCC data and information standards in TCCC global applications. Includes the ability to identify the need for additional standards to meet business requirement for integrated information across the Company
