Position Overview:

The Coca-Cola Company has an opening on the Freestyle Team for a Senior Software and Electronics Support Engineer. This role will provide support to field service and customer teams on issues related to software and electronic components supporting Coca-Cola Freestyle Equipment. This position will require the ability to leverage equipment logs, customer feedback, and service network information to identify root causes of field issues. A successful candidate will be able to leverage software skills to patch minor issues and work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve larger scale issues. The specific accountabilities include:

• Resolve field escalation issues related to software, hardware on Freestyle equipment
• Communicate with key customer teams to provide status updates on field issues
• Propose software feature enhancements to improve customer operation and improve equipment uptime
• Service as a voice of field operations in the development of new equipment and software

Function Specific Activities:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related engineering field
  • 5+ years of working in technical or field operations in customer facing roles.
  • 2+ years' experience with either Java or C/C++ in embedded Linux environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • 7+ of working in technical or field operations in a customer facing role
  • 2+ years working the Coca-Cola Freestyle ecosystem
  • Has worked on software releases end to end including supporting multiple releases in the field
  • Knowledge of Client-Server design and patterns
  • Knowledge of Multi-threading model with Synchronous and Asynchronous communication with timer based and Real-time Event Management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including methods such as 8D, DMAIC

Functional Activities:

  • Investigate field software and electronic component issues and provide fixes
  • Identify and resolve field issues from software logs and multiple databases systems
  • Leverage data for prediction and modeling to improve performance and operations
  • Work with embedded teams to determine advanced diagnostics and data needs to reduce time to repair
  • Develop key reports for lower level support staff be able to self-diagnose field issues
  • Leverage data to solve complex performance issues around software and hardware
  • Support dispenser improvement projects outside of software and hardware that drive customer satisfaction
  • Understand the impact of solutions to field, operations, customers, and engineering as well as their possible interactions
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to influence and negotiate with senior leadership
  • Lead a cross functional team to resolve complex issues and drive system improvements
