Position Overview:

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and maintaining Security operations to minimize threats to Company assets, visitors, guests, and associates. This role assists the Facilities Protection Group Operations Manager by ensuring daily security operations and protocol are followed while delivering quality customer service.

Function Specific Activities:


  • Supervise and coordinate FPG Security Console Operators in the daily operation of their assigned shift
  • Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills
  • Establish work schedules and assignments and ensure daily security operations function efficiently.
  • Serve as the on-scene coordinator during emergency situations by instructing security, medical and facility personnel.
  • Provide continuous training to console operators
  • Assist in the training of security officers during orientation
  • Manage FPG security radio system by coordinating repairs and maintenance of equipment
  • Assist with technology assessments
  • Review and update security information housed on Company's Intranet
  • Assist Events manger in coordinating and providing security services for major company related events.
  • Performance Management
  • Day-to-day monitoring, tracking and enhancement to job performance of all Console Operators by addressing issues and providing guidance to operational issues.
  • Conduct orientation of new Company associates on Company security policies and procedures in First Day Essentials to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with FPG management to assess current levels of job proficiency and make recommendations for developing programs for continual personal development.
  • Assist in the safe evacuation of personnel from Company facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform emergency first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Conduct incident investigations by interviewing all parties involved to gather information and reporting circumstances that require further investigation to appropriate security or facility personnel and updating management on all incidents.
  • Develop, draft, implement and monitor new training initiatives and procedures through the direction of FPG manager
  • Shift Operations: Knowledge of procedures used and ability to manage all security posts, schedules, tasks and daily operations to ensure the smooth and efficient completion of security activities that minimize threats to Company assets and personnel.
  • Ability to represent the Facilities Protection Group and the Company in a courteous and professional manner and deliver customer service that enhances the reputation and image of the Company trademark by providing guidance to and responding appropriately to associates and contingent workers requesting assistance. The ability to serve as a “goodwill ambassador” for the company
  • Serve as the on-scene coordinator during emergency situations -both actual and drills - by instructing security and maintenance personnel. Ensure Company guidelines are followed during emergency response
  • Ensure notification of incidents are properly communicated and reports are properly submitted within the specified timeframe.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Job Requirements


  • Minimum HS Diploma.
  • Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree

Related Work Experience: 

  • Minimum Required: 3-5 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement or related fields
  • Strong working knowledge of the following electronic security systems: Avigilon, CCURE 9000, Automated Fire Systems.
  • Experience working in a command center recommended
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
