Position Overview:

The Workplace Fine Art Specialist is a role within the My Workplace team and reports to the Senior Workplace Brand and Experience Manager. The role is based at the headquarters for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia otherwise known as the AOC (Atlanta Office Campus).

My Workplace is a department within the Integrated Services function of The Coca-Cola Company. Our mission is to provide a broad range of workplace services to Coca-Cola office locations globally. In addition to workplace branding and digital content strategy, our services include full workplace design, construction project management, workplace strategy and planning, work place technology, strategic events and facility management. Our role in The Coca-Cola Company is to be subject matter experts across 207 countries and territories to gain economies of scale, deliver a high level of customer service and design and build the next generation of workplaces for our great brand.

Function Specific Activities:

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

This role has five primary areas of responsibility:

  • Management of the Company's extensive fine art collection,
  • Executive art consultations and curation of art within renovated spaces at the AOC,
  • Development of special exhibits at the AOC,
  • Planning and execution of holiday at the AOC,
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for our offices globally on their art collection or desire to create a local art program

Fine Art Collection Management:

Our collection consists of over 2000 pieces of art and we have over 2.2 million square feet of office space. Maintaining the integrity of our collection is critical to every other aspect of the role.

Specific duties include:

  • Updating the online database to reflect a change in location when a piece of artwork is moved on the campus.
  • Updating the online database to reflect the status of a piece of artwork to indicate if there is a change in the condition of a piece of artwork.
  • Ensuring that the Fine Art storage space is maintained appropriately, artwork is stored properly, and environmental conditions are preserved. 

Office Art Consultations and Curation:

As the subject matter expert on the collection, the Workplace Fine Art Specialist role will be responsible for consultations with our senior most executives as well as curating artwork throughout renovated spaces on the campus. 

Specific duties include:

  • Setting up a 30-minute in-person consultation with each leader as he or she requests artwork.
  • Measuring, taking photos of the space and asking questions that help gain a better understanding of the leader's request so that you can make selections based on that input.
  • Preparing a document that outlines proposed artwork recommendations to give to the leader and gain his/her approval.
  • Coordinating the installation logistics with the executive and his/her administrative assistant once the approval process is complete,

Exhibits:

Six to eight times a year exhibits are placed in the main corridors of the campus. These exhibits are an opportunity to amplify key business messages, support our business partners in telling their story to associates and guests alike and/or showcase special pieces from our collection.

Specific duties include:

  • Planning exhibits out 3 to 6 months in advance.
  • Working closely with business partners to ensure their messages and images are curated in such a way that tells a compelling story.
  • Securing stakeholder and management approval for proposed exhibit.
  • Coordinating the installation logistics and working with external resources to ensure a successful exhibit.

Holiday:

The holiday season is synonymous with The Coca-Cola Company.  While the holiday decor is only up at our world headquarters in Atlanta, GA for one month, there are year-round responsibilities that ensure the transformation of space is a success. 

Specific duties include:

  • working with holiday vendor to design the look and feel,
  • ordering any necessary materials,
  • managing financial aspects such as opening all purchase orders (POs) and submitting invoices in a timely manner,
  • archiving photographically what the space looks like on a year-by-year basis,
  • managing all communication between key stakeholders; and,
  • planning a holiday art exhibit to compliment the decor.

Global Workplace Art Consultation:

With over 150 offices worldwide, the Workplace Fine Art Specialist may be called on to consult with local team members and the Senior Workplace Brand and Experience Manager and Workplace Brand Manager on matters pertaining to the purchase of new artwork or placement of existing artwork in the workplace.

General Qualifications/Competencies/Skills

  • University Degree.
  • Master's Degree in Fine Arts or Applied Arts preferred
  • 1-5 years of related work experience: Fine Art Collection Management, Exhibit Curation and Project Management
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to determine who and how to communicate with various stakeholders
  • Ability to coordinate and leverage resources to deliver against objectives
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and assignments
  • Results oriented
