Position Overview:

The Design Manager will lead a team of designers to help develop holistic experiential, branded environments and design standards for the workplace both at The Coca-Cola Company's headquarters location and offices worldwide. Additionally, this person will be a critical voice in the strategic development of internal design that engages employees, leadership, vendors and guests when they experience the brand within a variety of environments and channels.

Must be an innovative storyteller and think both strategically and creatively. Storytelling through design is a critical aspect of this role. Must be able to translate business goals and objectives from a variety of internal partners and leaders into strategic creative approaches and systems in order to bring the brand to life in an engaging way.

The ideal candidate will not only art direct but will take an active, hands-on role in leading ideation with team members, be willing to push the boundaries of what seems possible and get ahead of technology and industry trends to create powerful digital, physical, and environmental experiences. Candidate should think beyond the expected and have an ambitious mindset to drive amazing work. Design intent should often times be crafted through a scalable lens.

As the Design Manger you will mentor and support other designers.

Function Specific Activities:

Key Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Create outstanding designs to demonstrate concepts in support of strategies developed.
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental visual communication strategy and execution skills is key.
  • Create cohesive and compelling experiential and visual designs.


  • Current knowledge of industry trends and standards in the design field.
  • Outside the box innovative thinking to manifest memorable experiences.
  • Seek out inspiration and share insights with internal teams to help educate and inspire.


  • Provide clear and actionable direction to all team members (both internal and external) related to projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships that motivate, guide, and/or reinforce the performance of others.


  • Think like a creative, plan like a strategist.
  • A creative problem-solver.
  • Must be a ‘big thinker,' yet have the ability to craft the ‘design detail.'
  • You can see a big idea but not miss the little details.


  • Create working drawings, storyboards, layouts, mood boards, and mock-ups to evaluate and present ideas.


  • Effectively communicate within the design process to ensure optimal performance within budget and adherence to all deadlines.
  • Ability to educate cross-functional teams on needs, challenges and opportunities within the design space and able to understand concerns and be able to pivot quickly to address feedback.


  • Present research, concepts and designs with polished and professional visual tools and verbal skills.
  • Pitch creative concepts and mock ups, and lead stakeholders through the iteration process.
  • Must be confident to present in front of senior leadership at both the corporate and business unit level, as well as to large groups.


  • Work closely with clients and other My Workplace team members to make sure their needs are appropriately produced and implemented.


  • 8+ years industry/agency experience in Design for environments, events, activations, marketing, advertising, or  similar.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or similar discipline.
  • Expertise in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is required. Basic knowledge of substrates + print techniques, print file prep, proofs, and print standards is ideal. Experience with Keynote and 3D technologies is a bonus
  • Strength in one of the following areas preferred: 3D Modeling, interactive design, motion design, video art direction
  • Articulate design solutions to team members and clients succinctly and effectively.
  • Translate strategic vision into tangible project design deliverables.
  • Embody a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-pace and dynamic workplace.
  • Impeccable design fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into fun, easy to use, engaging experiences.
  • A resourceful problem solver with a positive attitude.
  • Highly organized, keen attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated with an agile mindset.
  • Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Spanish is a plus.
