Job Description Summary

The Sr. IT Product Manager is responsible for managing various projects for the Center of Expertise (COE) including vision/strategy, delivery and operations. The products support The Coca-Cola Company's Innovation R&D and Technical (Product Design, Governance, and Quality) business functions. This role will be accountable to build detailed project plans, implement program and project management standards, routines and tools, develop approaches and guidelines, as well as deliverables, monitor project performance and determine actions to address deficiencies. The role requires delivery in global, enterprise-wide, digital solutions. Development of work plans and approaches to complex problems, balancing of multiple projects simultaneously, working with resources from a variety of geographies, excellent communication and a global customer focus. Ideal candidates for this role would have extensive project management, influencing, planning and organizing, build and sustain relationships skills and work in a self-directed manner.

Function Specific Activities:

Duties

  • Coordinate the analysis of proposed projects (high-level project descriptions) with technology service providers (e.g., application development or infrastructure service providers) in order to determine resource requirements (people, hardware, software) and to provide consistent communication during the planning process.
  • Coordinate execution and implementation of approved projects within area of responsibility in order to execute the plan.
  • Orchestrate the deployment of resources (e.g., people, infrastructure, financial, informational) from Coca-Cola (e.g., client, internal service providers) and third parties in order to ensure successful project completion.
  • Create a communications plan (e.g., memos, letters, plan review meetings, status lists) to ensure frequent, accurate and timely communication to all stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the project plan.
  • Establish project measures to ensure that the project is on-time, on-budget and meets the customer's specifications.
  • Monitor plan and execution progress to resolve any plan variances and provide accurate communication to stakeholders.
  • Lead resolution and re-planning activities with stakeholders to realign strategies and close identified gaps.
  • Consulting - Helps customers solve business problems through diagnostic thinking, effective questions and creative thinking.
  • Manages expectations and builds strong collaborative win-win relationships with partners to deliver on key goals. i.e.,
  • Gathers appropriate information through skillful questioning and listening.
  • Helps customers identify the right solutions to business problems and change-management challenges.
  • Contracts specific deliverables and deadlines with internal clients, based on effective diagnostic studies.
  • Manages client expectations effectively.
  • Customer Focus - Focuses on understanding the requirements of customers.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with customers by gaining their trust and respect and by leading customers to new insights and perspectives. i.e.,
  • Proactively consults with function/group leaders to help them clarify their HR needs.
  • Anticipates and mobilizes appropriate resources to increase responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Gains customer trust and respect by providing new perspectives and insights (e.g., challenges assumptions; pushes back when appropriate).

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in delivering digital solutions using Agile methodologies
  • 7+ years of experience working in the Infromation Technology space
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • Project Management doing the following: manage projects to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) by establishing clear goals and accountabilities; developing project plans and allocating resources; identifying potential issues/risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Owning business relationships with internal clients
  • Experience managing 3rd party vendors
  • Global experience working distributed teams

Highly Preferred:  

  • MBA or related Master's degree
  • 3+ years of management consulting experience in the technology field
