Position Overview:

Lead CPS NA supply chain activities to ensure availability of concentrate for bottlers, Hot/Cold Fill Plants, and Syrup Plants in a cost-effective manner. This role manages supply to the larger, strategic, more complex businesses. Manage network parameters to meet Inventory weeks of supply targets while meeting desired customer service metrics. Lead inventory loss mitigation activities at the platform level. Develop and implement corrective actions to minimize inventory losses.

Function Specific Activities:

Essential Functions:

  • Define concentrate inventory strategy at the platform level based on the needs of the customer and CPS guidelines. 
  • Manage system parameters to support the inventory strategy at all CPSNA locations.   
  • Review and approve monthly production plans as part of the S&OP process. 
  • Ensure that production supports supply requirements and inventory management goals.              
  • Define and execute inventory deployment strategy to maintain service and optimize transportation costs.          
  • Provide instruction to customer service team on sourcing options to manage bottler order exceptions.  
  • Review SKU level shipping performance and complete orbit realignment when necessary to ensure the accuracy of the forecast.
  • Lead inventory loss mitigation activities at the platform level.  Review age of stock and blocked stock reports and take appropriate action.              
  • Prepare and submit requests to destroy inventory on behalf of the business unit due forecast, customer returns or other BU related issues.  Prepare and submit provisions for inventory loss to finance to account for risk to the BU.           
  • Represent CPSNA for all concentrate related issues in platform level S&OP process with the business unit.            
  • This role is responsible for supply of larger, strategic and more complex businesses. 
  • The ability to perform extensive analysis is required. 
  • This person must evaluate the cost impact of possible decisions and use that information to drive the organization to an effective solution considering multiple variables.
  • Provide strategic thinking level of medium to long term for inventory optimization.
  • Participate and promote activities with the OE Team, Scrum that contribute toward continuous improvement (5's, workplace audit, T Cards, Idea Cards, Tip Plan, Communication Center, Innovation indicatives, (etc.).

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Prepare reports and handle other related activities as needed.

Integrated Management System General Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the definition of individual and team objectives / metrics that contribute to continuous improvement, focusing on the quality, occupational safety and environmental aspects.
  • Performs job responsibilities in compliance with the requirements established in the programs of Occupational Safety, Environmental, Quality, Safety and Food Defense and the GMP policy (including ISO 22002). 
  • Assures to understand and to have the skills and necessary certifications of programs and working instructions, training in quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations applicable to the job.  
  • Notifies immediately any accident or incident which could cause a potential risk in the working area, related to environmental and occupational safety aspects or that can affect the quality and safety of the product or plant indicators.
  • Uses the Communication Center and the corrective action system and tools to register and to establish action plans for the effective solution of process deviations and to prevent the reoccurrence of non-conformances.
  • Participates or supports all activities related to occupational safety, environmental and quality programs in order to promote the development of knowledge and skills (Corrective Actions, preventive actions, periodical training, and quality meetings, among others).
  • Knows the plant indicators and how own job responsibilities can impact them.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement process sharing innovative ideas, recommendations and notifying Manager of any discrepancy between current practices and documentation.
  • Support all initiatives that encourage improvement in all environmental, occupational safety and quality aspects of the processes and work environment to reduce human errors.
  • Each associate has the authority to perform the position functions and to make decisions including the cases of stopping the use of materials, production or the shipment of products, when the quality, product integrity, safety of self and others, property, environment, community, the health of consumers, etc. is in jeopardy.

General Aspects of the Position:

  • Generally, works in a closed environment, in office conditions, with normal level of noise and controllable changes of temperature.
  • Needs to walk, bend the body, lean, and/or be seated for long periods of time.
  • Performs light physical effort with little exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Can be required to travel from 5% to 25% of time.
  • Utilizes visual and mental attention frequently (21- 50% of time).
  • Works with a personal computer and programs to prepare documents or reports and present these to others as necessary.
  • Applies communication skills to perform work and coordinate with others.
  • Utilizes advance skills of reading, writing, speaking, analytical capacity and high level of professional judgment to resolve problems affecting work area.
  • Incumbent can be exposed to fumes, gas, dust, strong odors, and/or high temperatures. In addition, can be requested to use a respirator and/or any other personal safety equipment.



  • Bachelor's degree


  • 5 - 7 years in Supply Chain Management. Expert knowledge of Master Data and SAP functionalities and applications.
  • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish)
