Position Overview:Understands end-to-end master data processes and flows; designs and implements master data management solutions; provides system support and data quality governance for master data through data coordination and integration; conducts testing and system validation to troubleshoot non-routine and complex issues related to master data management and system; implements process improvements in relation to master data processes. Individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in specific area; ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects.
Function Specific Activities:
On-Boarding New Products
Own the accuracy and completion of the product data attributes from UPC/GTIN creation to retirement including GDSN publication/modifications (US, Puerto Rico & Caribbean). This includes:
a. Provides expertise to all levels of the organization, both internal and external, regarding GS1 Industry Standards/Best practices. Also shares expertise during product acquisitions or ownership changes
b. Maintain and share product onboarding expertise (best practice, data standards, industry rules, etc.) across all product categories
c. Collect product data attributes from key constitutes (CIF PMs, Commercialization, Engineering, SRA, etc.) for timely, accurate and complete entry into PIM to create a UPC / GTIN.
d. Serves as an advocate to support product commercialization in the requesting of new BP from ISSCOM.
e. Provide request for new BPP from ISSCOM, and ensure timely completion.
f. Once all required data attributes are complete, confirm syndication of complete and accurate records to GS1 and acceptance by customers.
g. Ensure UPC creation and GS1 syndication timelines adhere to business requirements (e.g., production artwork, Customer requirements, etc.).
h. Provide alignment status at Gate meeting to verify product master data requirements are accurate, completed on time, and any key risks to the launch.
i. Manage the UPC / GTIN PIM assignment process for entire product hierarchy (each/pack/case).
j. Provides interpretation of data standards and GS1 rules as needed in key innovation routines (e.g., Stages and Gates, Commercial Readiness, etc.).
k. Initiate and/or collaborate with master data resources to implement process improvements.
l. Provides SME knowledge to support CIF PM with master data setup within the supply chain systems.
Data Standards and Customer On-Boarding
a. Provides expertise to all levels of the organization, both internal and external, regarding Customer Onboarding to 1WS. Also shares expertise during product acquisitions or ownership changes. Expertise should expand across all product categories.
b. Provides the team with an understanding of new / existing GS1 data standards and an interpretation specific to the KO business.
c. Provides support to new customers joining GS1 for product data. This includes: sourcing the data, determining data refresh schedules, and collaboration on data accuracy scorecards.
d. Provides support to customers when adding new SKUs or modifying data records when needed.
e. Cross-trains on the other business categories to serve as the back-up to other team members, understand how data standards apply across the business, and support customer with product data for KO's full portfolio of products.
Product Hierarchies - Providing SME support to facilitate accuracy on all levels of product hierarchy.
a. Provide product hierarchy expertise across all product categories
b. Provides expertise on product master data hierarchies for internal data stakeholders (e.g., RGM, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.).
c. Advocate for consistency between the unique product identifiers (Beverage Based Number, Beverage Product, UPC, GTIN, Material #, etc.) using an ability to influence others as some of these are not under their direct accountability.
d. Ensure newly created / updated product are added or updated by the Hierarchy Analyst within the business intelligence product hierarchies (e.g., PPG, EPG, CCR Brand / Pack).
Data Accuracy - Maintain data accuracy scorecards and respond / resolve customer scorecard issues:
a. Provide expertise to data accuracy issues across all product categories
b. Proactively engaged during product lifecycle to maintain updates to product attributes as changes are made (e.g., shelf life extensions, reduction in added sugar, etc.)
c. Collaborate with customer teams to develop / review data accuracy scorecards to ensure errors are identified and diagnosed within SLAs
d. Review and steward correct of data issues with internal and/or external business partners.
SME Support - Serves as the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for product data attributes.
a. Provides expertise across all product categories.
b. Serves as champion within team, to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all issues are resolved.
c. SME on product hierarchy that supports and provides guidance to customer, brand, commercial, cross-franchise partners and supply chain.
d. Supports INFA/PIM new software releases through testing, release management, and initiative changes.
Type of prev. work experience required
- Bottler or manufacturer experience.
- GS1 Standards experience in a manufacturing company, understanding of Coca-Cola's various routes to market, and bottler community relationships.
- A medium to high level of product and package knowledge as well as ISSCOM standards, product hierarchies, and product life cycle. Intermediate / advanced knowledge of 1 World Sync
