Position Overview:

Innovation has been and continues to be a strategic growth platform for the Minute Maid Business Unit and is one of the key pillars over the next 10 years. Because of this, the innovation team is a critical enabler of the division's long term financial goals.

The position of Senior Brand Manager will be instrumental in meeting the aggressive financial and brand building goals. This person will have a balanced role, alternating between projects that require high level strategic thinking, like defining potential white space opportunities, and projects that are critical to delivering short term results, like new item introductions.

There are several skills that are instrumental for success in this role. This individual should be as comfortable drawing insights from detailed Nielsen information as they are brainstorming new ideas. They should have a passion for the consumer, able to work with ambiguity and be comfortable using market research tools to make project decisions. This role interacts significantly with a broad cross functional team across Business Units, so strong team leadership and interpersonal skills are critical. This is a highly visible role with critical in year and long term deliverables

Function Specific Activities:

Duties:

  • Creating an agreed upon articulation of innovation strategy for categories/brands
  • Designing a long term (e.g. 5 year) multi-platform and multi-channel pipeline by brand
  • Driving the direction for technical COEs (e.g. R&D, packaging, etc.) to bring new technologies and/or new uses for existing technologies forward that would provide competitive advantage
  • Leading cross-functional teams in development of full product proposition from concept to commercialization
  • Creating and executing a process to fill the pipeline with consumer vetted ideas
  • Providing each brand team with multiple validated innovation opportunities
  • Work with Group Director to foster our innovation culture

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of classical brand marketing experience
  • college degree; MBA preferred 
  • strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, creative thinking, team leadership, planning, organizing, problem solving skills.
  • results focused, with examples to prove it
  • experience with Nielsen or iri, BASES and other quantitative research tools
  • passion for understanding consumer behavior
  • ability to adjust on the fly and thrive in an ever-changing environment
