Job Description Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Manager position is a key resource in the transition, development and integration of emerging brands. This role works with internal and external partners to successfully execute network optimization, integration, and commercial initiatives all while driving cost savings, improving customer service and operational efficiencies.

Function Specific Activities:

Duties

  • Maintain effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing in-depth knowledge of the brand, programs and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot customer orders requiring special handling as well as responding to customer inquiries and problem solve in an effective and productive manner.
  • Sponsor and support least landed cost analysis for inbound raw materials and finished goods.
  • Partner with third party vendors to support network optimization projects.
  • Conduct weekly inventory analysis and reconciliation including, transfers, bills of lading, production and shipments.
  • Support issue resolution of new and existing products.
  • Partner with OTM to negotiate freight rates for customer shipments and inbound ocean freight.
  • Achieve cost reductions in demurrage and assessorial penalties.
  • Manages and oversees supply chain operations: Supply planning, trans-oceanic shipments, drayage, finished goods inventory and new product launches.
  • Coordinates and resolves issues regarding existing and new products.
  • Leading integration initiatives and programs with brand and commercial teams.
  • Providing verbal and/or written project updates to various stakeholders
  • Developing project plans with timelines, forecasts, resource allocation plans and financial impacts to key stake holders.
  • Identify key drivers of service to create solutions to decrease costs, increase quality and deliver additional improvements to the P&L.
  • Identify and implement improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best practices.

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Preferred Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain disciplines.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 15%

Related Work Experience:

  • Customer Service / Distribution: Knowledge of distributor/distribution policies and procedures.  Ability to understand costs/benefits of distributors and common carriers, third party capabilities, and distribution structures to support customer order processes, and product availability
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels using statistical models to design min/max/reorder levels. Knowledge of asset management procedures, policies and information used to optimize inventory levels and/or fill rates (e.g., balance inventory levels against inventory carrying costs).
  • Process Management - Process Benchmarking and Mapping: Knowledge of and the ability to apply skills in benchmarking and process mapping techniques across a supply chain (includes internal and/or third party entities)
  • Supply Chain: Knowledge of elements that make up the supply chain and the interrelationship between these elements. Ability to manage and execute strategies across the supply chain to reduce costs and gain efficiencies in the completion of a quality finished good. Ability to analyze, balance, synchronizes and synergizes all internal and external resources and assets to ensure the progress and ultimate completion of a finished good.
  • Business Activity Processes: Ability to establish and define processes, and continuously monitor and improve processes to facilitate the execution of business activities.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement. Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems based solutions that will improve current state
  • Program Management: Knowledge of program management techniques and practices to drive execution of multifaceted integration projects.

Functional Skills:   

  • Contingency Planning: Knowledge of information used to establish contingency plans for supply chain processes (e.g., cost, risk level, manufacturing and third-party capabilities). Ability to develop contingency plans that meet performance requirements
  • Relationship Management (Suppliers, Contractors, Bottlers, Partners): Knowledge of third party supplier/contractor corporate cultures and core competencies. Ability to influence third party supplier/contractor relationship to benefit KO. Knowledge of Bottler/Partner culture and business priorities. Ability to influence Bottler/Partner relationship with KO.
  • Customer Focus: Making customers (external and internal) and their needs a primary focus of one's actions; developing and sustaining productive customer relationships; creating and executing plans and solutions in collaboration with the customer.
  • Determining Financial Impact: Understanding the financial consequences of decisions; understanding economic value for the system; acting as an owner of the business and making decisions that ensure long-term value
  • Total System Cost: Knowledge of assigning costs to activities in order to evaluate supply chain cost improvement opportunities. Knowledge of total cost (e.g., shipping, warehousing, inventory levels) in addition to invoice cost.
